Sales commission structure calculator
Type in your deal size, close rate and commission plan. It shows you what a closer or setter actually earns on that seat, on paper, and whether anyone already earning somewhere else would take it.
Half the founders I talk to have a hiring problem that is really a math problem. This is the math.
$0a year, on paper
Book a call. $0 until you pick someone.On-paper math from the numbers you typed. It is not a prediction of what any closer, setter, or business will earn. Floors are the minimums Sales Match will recruit against, not industry averages.
How to read the number
Closers who are already closing don't leave a seat for under $120K a year on paper. Setters don't move for under $60K. Those aren't industry averages, they're the floors we recruit against, because under that you get whoever is between jobs, they burn your leads for 60 days, and you're back where you started.
If the number is red, the fix is almost never "find a better closer." It's the commission, the volume, or the deal size. The calculator tells you which one moves the number fastest.
What we do with it
If it's green, the seat is real and we can fill it in 8 to 12 days. If it's red, book the call anyway. I'll tell you on the call what I'd change, and I won't take your money for a seat that can't hold someone.
